Activity at new Biomedical and Materials Engineering Complex

Posted:

Construction of the Biomedical and Materials Engineering Complex has progressed according to schedule throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, and the cutting-edge complex is home to researchers, faculty, staff, administration, and students representing materials science and engineering and biomedical engineering. Named after the father of modern corrosion engineering, the Mars G. Fontana Laboratories is welcoming its first residents.

Offices and labs began relocating to the 124,000 square foot facility in June according to a carefully orchestrated and executed plan. Click here to see photos. The building should be fully occupied by the end of October.

The grand opening celebration of Mars G. Fontana Laboratories has been postponed to a later time when it is safe to host an event.
