Oliver Kraft is head of the Institute for Materials Research II(IMF II) at the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe GmbH (FZK) and also professor at the Institute for Reliability of Systems and Devices (IZBS) at the University of Karlsruhe, where he teaches “Mechanics of Microsystems” in addition to other courses. His research interests range from the mechanical behavior of advanced structural materials to the reliability of microelectronic and MEMS devices with focus on deformation and degradation mechanisms in thin films and small structures.
